According to information from Phu Tho General Hospital, on September 10, 2025, with the consent of the family of the brain-dead patient (43 years old, residing in Phu Tho), after completing legal procedures for tissue and organ donation, the hospital performed surgery to remove 6 organs from the donor.
Along with that, they directly performed 2 kidney transplants for 2 patients with chronic kidney failure to filter blood circulation at the hospital and coordinated the transportation of 4 tissues and organs to other major hospitals.
Phu Tho General Hospital has coordinated with Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, Hue Central Hospital and leading experts to consult and decide on 6 people who are eligible for tissue and organ transplants (2 people for kidney transplants, 2 people for cornea transplants, 1 person for heart transplants, 1 person for liver transplants).

To promptly transport tissues and organs to hospitals, Phu Tho General Hospital was supported by the provincial Traffic Police to clear roads, take advantage of every minute, and transport quickly to ensure the organs were brought to the place on time.
Receiving urgent information from the hospital, Vietnam Airlines flight number VN1545 quickly coordinated and prioritized doctors and "passengers", especially the heart of a brain-dead patient, to be transported to Hue Central Hospital for transplant to patients.
At Noi Bai airport, the flight took a 15-minute delay to wait for the medical team to board the plane. All passengers patiently waited, wholeheartedly sharing for a meaningful humanitarian journey.

Due to the extremely strict time for organ storage, every step from airport procedures, security checks to boarding the plane is done urgently and with maximum priority. The medical staff was quickly supported, ensuring a smooth journey.
As soon as they landed, the medical team and the heart of the donor were supported to move as quickly as possible to Hue Central Hospital, where the heart transplant was performed that night.
Flight number VN1545 is a flight of compassion, sharing and reviving new lives.
