In a quick exchange with Lao Dong, Mr. Thai Thanh Binh - owner of Binh Loan vegetarian food production facility (Hoa An commune, Cao Lanh city) - said that his unit has just donated 2,000 canned vegetarian meals to support people affected by storm No. 3 (Yagi). Philanthropists in Dong Thap province also joined hands to donate an additional 4,000 meals to the North.
The relief team from Mr. Binh’s facility will move to Ho Chi Minh City along with several other teams in the southern region. It is expected that the teams will arrive in the northern region in the coming days.
"The instant vegetarian boxed meals are expected to reach people in need after the storm and flood, especially vegetarians. In situations where it is difficult to cook or prepare food, the boxed meals can be consumed immediately," said Mr. Binh.
It is known that before that, in 2023, when the Central region was damaged by floods, Mr. Binh also provided 22,000 canned vegetarian foods to the people.
