On the afternoon of November 6, speaking to reporters, Mr. Nguyen Ben (born in 1989) said that he was the one who stopped the car in the middle of Tan Ly bridge and plunged into the river, saving the woman who was struggling.

Mr. Ben recounted that after a fishing trip at sea, when the fishing boat had just come ashore to sell seafood, he rode his motorbike home. When he arrived at Tan Ly Bridge (Phuoc Hoi Ward, Lam Dong Province), he saw a woman suddenly climbing over the railing and jumping into the Dinh River.
At this time, passersby shouted. Without hesitation, Mr. Ben plunged into the river, approaching the woman who was struggling in the midst of the rushing water.
After that, Mr. Ben pulled the victim back to the area where the boat was anchored to hold onto the anchor rope. Fishermen on nearby fishing boats helped bring both to the boat and to shore safely.
"I go to the sea so I know how to swim. At that time, I heard people screaming, looking for a life jacket but not yet, I just thought about saving people, not thinking much" - Mr. Ben shared more.

Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper reported that at around 10:30 p.m. on November 5, in the Tan Ly Bridge area, a woman was discovered alone in the middle of a rushing water on the Dinh River.
A man jumped into the river and rescued the woman in time. The woman was then taken to the hospital for health care.

After the incident, many people were grateful for this man's act of forgetting themselves to save their lives. Many people also sent their thanks for this meaningful act.
Mr. Nguyen Ben (from Quang Ngai province) went to Lam Dong province to earn a living by fishing. Currently, the family is living in La Gi ward.
