Responding to the 14th National Red Journey Campaign, on July 17, the Gia Lai Provincial Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization in coordination with the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion and VTVCorp Joint Stock Company opened the 13th Red Journey - Connecting Vietnamese Blood Program.
In 2026, the Red Journey Program - Connecting Vietnamese Blood will be implemented in 32 provinces and cities across the country. Continuing to be one of the localities responding positively, Gia Lai aims to mobilize and receive over 1,000 units of blood, contributing to supplementing blood sources for emergency and treatment.

The voluntary blood donation movement in the province in recent years has achieved many positive results. In 2025 alone, Gia Lai mobilized and received more than 36,000 units of blood, of which 100% was from voluntary blood donors.
Mr. Ha Van Cat - Chairman of the Provincial Red Cross Society, Standing Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization of Gia Lai province - emphasized that voluntary blood donation is a noble humanitarian gesture, showing the responsibility of each individual to the community.

In the context that the demand for blood for emergency and treatment is always high, maintaining and developing the voluntary blood donation movement is of particular importance, contributing to ensuring safe and timely blood sources to treat patients.
At the program, many collectives, families and individuals with outstanding achievements in the voluntary blood donation movement were honored, recognizing their persistent contributions in propaganda, mobilization and blood donation to save people.

The Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society awarded Certificates of Merit to 4 families and 3 individuals; the National Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization awarded Khanh Dong and honoring badges to 8 families and individuals who achieved the milestone of 30 to over 50 blood donations;
Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 53 collectives and individuals, including 1 collective and 52 families and individuals with many achievements in propaganda, mobilization and voluntary blood donation.
The Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization of Gia Lai province commended and rewarded 1,066 collectives, families and individuals who achieved typical blood donation milestones.
On this occasion, the program organizing committee and the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) Binh Dinh and Phu Tai branches presented 20 gifts to patients with thalassemia being treated in the area, contributing to encouraging the spirit and sharing difficulties with patients.
The Central Red Journey Organizing Committee also presented symbols and souvenir flags to Gia Lai province and expressed gratitude to businesses accompanying the program.
