On the morning of May 5, leaders of Cam An Commune People's Committee (Khanh Hoa) said that they had awarded unexpected certificates of merit to 3 members of the force participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level for their outstanding achievements in fighting and preventing crime.
Three individuals were commended, including Mr. Nguyen Huu Minh Phuc, Head of the Grassroots Security and Order Protection Team of Thuy Ba village; Mr. Duong Quoc Tinh, Deputy Head of the same team; and Mr. Ton Duc Hoa, Member of the Grassroots Security and Order Protection Team of Cua Tung village.
Previously, at noon on April 18, a murder occurred in Cam An commune. Subject Bui Dang Chau (born in 1995, residing in Cam Lam district) after a conflict with his wife while going to a death anniversary feast returned to his mother-in-law's house, used a knife to attack, causing his wife to die on the way to the hospital.
When Ms. D. T. P, the victim's mother, intervened, the subject continued to use a knife to cause injury.
After committing the crime, Chau took his 9-month-old biological child and left the scene. Upon receiving the news, Cam An Commune Police quickly mobilized forces, coordinated with grassroots security and order protection teams to protect the scene, take the victim to the emergency room and organize the pursuit of the suspect.
At 4:45 pm on the same day, functional forces controlled and arrested the subject in the residential road area near the expressway overpass, belonging to Suoi Cat village, Cam Hiep commune, about 2.2km from the scene. The child was safely rescued.
Timely rewarding individuals participating in the pursuit and arrest shows the important role of grassroots security and order forces in supporting the police, contributing to maintaining security and order in the locality.
