On July 4, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union held a press conference to announce the Journey and the "Beautiful Youth" Award Ceremony in 2025. This is an annual award to honor young people with noble actions and gestures, inspiring the community positively.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Tuong Lam - Secretary of the Central Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Youth Union said that the award does not seek great achievements but recognizes beautiful, brave, and humane acts that take place in real life.
Living beautifully is not limited in space, time or field. It could be an act of saving people at the moment of life and death, or it could also be a silent sharing of a nurse in the front line.
Among the 20 outstanding individuals honored this year are border guard Ly Van Vu, who is a strong soldier at the head of the Fatherland, female nurse Dang Thi Ha, who stands side by side day and night with her teammates at the Emergency Center, Bach Mai Hospital. Notably, Sergeant Lo Van Thanh (Lai Chau Provincial Police) bravely saved two drowning children during his leave, a beautiful act that made many people admire.
As of 2025, after 8 seasons of organization, the "Beautiful Youth" award has honored 192 young people across the country in many fields: health, national defense, security, science - technology, environmental protection, volunteering, community development...
