Recently, the Rach Gia City Labor Federation (Kien Giang) organized a visit and presented gifts to union members and workers during Workers' Month in 2025, each gift is cash worth 1 million VND.
Ms. Tran Thi Thu - Chairman of Rach Gia City Labor Federation - said that in addition to the gifts allocated by the Labor Federation of Kien Giang province, the city's Labor Federation also mobilized the Executive Committee, Trade Union members, contributing to the Steering Committee to erase temporary houses and dilapidated houses in the area to repair a 30 million VND.
When completed, the City Labor Federation coordinated with the City's Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to organize the handover of the Great Unity House to Ms. Tran Kim Bi - a disadvantaged household living in Phi Thong commune.
"We strongly mobilize donors and businesses in the area to give 100 scholarships to children of workers in May 2025. Along with that, visiting and giving gifts to workers and laborers who have had work-related accidents helps them reduce difficulties and work with peace of mind to produce better," Ms. Thu shared.
Mr. Tran Thien Trieu - Trade Union of Superdong Kien Giang Expressway Joint Stock Company - said: "The Trade Union and the Company's Trade Union are very interested in and care for workers. If you are sick, you can visit, give gifts, and support those in difficult circumstances. When I go to work with the support of the Union, I feel cared for, shared, feel very warm-hearted and motivated to work better".
The City Trade Union also, together with functional agencies and enterprise trade unions, strengthens inspection and supervision of occupational safety and hygiene.
Coordinate with the Center for Culture, Sports and Communications of Rach Gia City to organize a sports festival for employees in 2025. The sports festival has 74 teams with nearly 800 athletes from grassroots trade unions of sectors, wards, communes, schools and enterprises under the Rach Gia City Labor Federation.
The sports festival is a healthy and useful playground to improve physical, improve health, limit disease, repel social evils, train the body to follow Uncle Ho's example, create a new face, new power, and the motivation to develop the physical training and sports movement among the cadres and employees of the city. At the same time, this is also an opportunity for people to exchange, exchange experiences, tighten solidarity between athletes and units, thereby contributing to the work, for the need to enjoy the spiritual life.
