    Dự án Bệnh viện Hữu nghị Việt Đức cơ sở Ninh Bình được Bộ Y tế phê duyệt từ năm 2014 với quy mô mỗi bệnh viện 1.000 giường bệnh, tổng mức đầu tư gần 10.000 tỉ đồng. Dự án được xây dựng trên khu đất rộng hơn 21 ha tại Ninh Bình, tổng diện tích sàn gần 120.000 m², tổng mức đầu tư gần 5.000 tỉ đồng. Nhà thầu có trách nhiệm hỗ trợ bệnh viện vận hành từ 3-6 tháng tới, bệnh viện phải cử người theo cùng, khi xảy ra sự cố kịp thời xử lý.
