HUE - In harsh weather, thousands of workers and machinery have been mobilized to construct the La Son - Hoa Lien expressway expansion project.
After the groundbreaking ceremony of the North-South Expressway Expansion Project in the East (La Son - Hoa Lien section), contractors mobilized machinery and equipment with workers to start construction at an urgent pace.At the construction site, thousands of workers and machines are busy working. With the spirit of "overcoming the sun, overcoming the rain", workers still work hard, sticking to the construction site, to ensure the progress of the project.
From 9am to mid-afternoon, the heat was severe, burning the skin. But by late afternoon, the rain fell again, and steam from the soil rose, affecting the construction process of the workers.Mr. Trinh Minh Yen (a worker from Nghe An) shared: "I have been working here for more than 2 months. Here, the day is very sunny, the evening is often rainy, very hard. However, the workers still try to complete the task with the company.According to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, workers and machinery are currently focusing on simultaneous construction of many items, including casting bridge girders.Mr. Hoang Trong Quang - Supervising Engineer said that at each construction site, there are 40 - 60 people depending on the time. Currently, due to the characteristics of the project, both construction and traffic safety, each construction site must have signs, markers, traffic lights, and security guards at both ends."Currently, the weather in this area is sunny in the morning and rainy in the afternoon, so the construction work is quite difficult for the staff and workers. However, to overcome this situation, we also always encourage efforts, reminders, supervision, guidance, and urging to ensure construction progress while also implementing good work on labor safety and environmental sanitation" - Mr. Quang said.The large construction site of the La Son - Hoa Lien expressway expansion section.Workers in the rain are still enthusiastic about their work.Mr. Tran Duc Hiep - Director of the La Son - Hoa Lien Expressway expansion project phase 2, said that there are currently about 50 bridges being deployed simultaneously along with 65km of road. There are about 500 locomotives and equipment. Regarding human resources, cadres, technicians, and laborers, the total is nearly 1,000 people."Currently, the output at the construction site is about 15%, the construction unit is trying to strive, the project will be basically completed in 2025. To achieve this, we have divided many milestones to strive for. Regarding the bridge, we will try to launch the first girder spans of the project around the end of August to September" - Mr. Hiep said.
On May 29, the Ministry of Construction coordinated with the People's Committee of Hue City and the People's Committee of Da Nang City to organize a groundbreaking ceremony for the North-South Expressway expansion project in the East, La Son - Hoa Lien section.
The project is about 65km long, with a total investment of more than VND3,000 billion from the State budget, invested by the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board.
The expressway is designed to reach a speed of 60 - 80 km/h, with a scale of 4 lanes and a 22m wide roadbed.
The project includes a construction package, implementing items such as digging, roadbed construction, crushed stone aggregate, asphalt concrete pavement. On the entire route, 50 bridges will be built.
