If workers were previously mainly associated with muscle labor, now they are transforming into "digital workers" with those who master technology, data and knowledge. They are the ones who directly operate and create value in the digital economy.
Over the years, millions of initiatives of workers have helped save hundreds of thousands of billions of VND, improving productivity and product quality. That is a vivid testament to the creative spirit and the courage to master technology of the Vietnamese working class in the new era.
The movement "Innovation, digital transformation, improving labor productivity - confidently entering a new era with the country" launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in the period of 2025-2030 is creating a strong influence. President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang emphasized: Emulation and rewards must become a driving force for innovation, contributing to building a modern and strong working class to become the core force to realize the aspiration for national development.
On the other hand, digital transformation also creates great challenges for the workforce and laborers. In which technology changes the nature of work, some jobs require energy, muscle is lost to replace new jobs that require higher knowledge content. To meet this, in addition to workers and laborers having to learn to meet new production needs, they need support and companionship from many sides.
The role of the Government is to continue to improve institutions, infrastructure and digital training mechanisms. Invest heavily in modern technology infrastructure, broadband, and nationwide connectivity, so that all workers have the opportunity to access new technology, connecting schools - businesses - unions in training digital skills for workers.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front promotes its role in monitoring and social criticism, creating consensus, spreading the spirit of "digital transformation for people", helping workers in remote areas access digital knowledge, reducing technology gaps.
The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor promotes the "Digital Trade Union" model, innovates management, cares for welfare through technology; opens centers to support digital skills learning, builds online initiative floors, organizes innovation awards among workers, so that workers are recognized, supported and confident in their transformation journey.
Digital transformation is a revolution in thinking, technology and social organization. Today's workers are not only "working" but also "knowing", not only "implementing" but also "creating". If the digital transformation movement among workers and laborers that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has just launched is well and effectively implemented, workers will affirm that they are soldiers on the technology front, the ones who create the digital future of the Vietnamese people.
