He said: This morning, I read a story shared on social media: An old teacher parked a car in violation of regulations, the police came to handle it. The two met decades ago. The teacher at that time asked to be ignored. The traffic police officer still said he would make a record but then ignored the mistake and did not forget to write an additional greeting for Vietnamese Teachers' Day. The two teachers and students hugged each other in the cold weather, which many people found very beautiful. The story is truly touching, very ordinary, in the love of teachers and students, something that everyone who has ever studied understands, experienced and appreciates".
Then he added: That story could just be a composition to spread on social networks on November 20, talking about the love of teachers and students. But after reading the story, I had many concerns. The teacher violated, so it is best not to ask. The traffic police were right at first, but because of private purposes, they violated their official duties.
I asked: "If it were you, how would you handle it?". He replied: "To force affection to get into public service and ignore the violation, I myself violated the prohibition of the law. If you want to be complete and beautiful, the most correct way to do it should be: Teacher admits his mistake, takes responsibility. Traffic police still make records according to regulations. And if he truly loves his teacher and wants to show gratitude, he and his students can completely pay the fine on their own behalf - an act that is both disciplined, just enough to be affectionate, just enough to be generous, just enough to be brave, just enough to be generous. Thus, public-private partnership. Discipline and humanity are both perfect.
To fully implement public-private partnerships, we need to comply with some basic principles in all actions. First of all, we must live and work according to the law. Public work cannot be confused with private work, and all individuals, especially those in public agencies, need to set an example in maintaining fairness and transparency.
The teacher-student relationship is always one of the sacred and important feelings in society. However, that affection needs to be built on the foundation of respect and responsibility. The story of teachers and students, although touching, reminds us that affection cannot replace work responsibility and professional ethics.
But the Vietnamese people also have a saying: "A hundred reasons are not equal to a small amount of love". Therefore, in many situations that are faced with public-private partnership; reason - love, there needs to be harmony and balance. That is the art of living, helping to build a fair, civilized, cultural, and humane society.
