A fulcrum and a solid foundation for education innovation and development

The Law on Teachers can be said to be a strong commitment of the State in affirming the position, honoring the role and protecting the legitimate rights of the teaching staff.

The long-standing reality shows that the teaching profession, although honored as the most noble profession among noble professions, teachers who carry on the shoulder of a great mission do not always receive the corresponding support from the implementation of policies in many localities.

While the education program is constantly innovating, the requirements for capacity and skills for teachers are increasing, the legal framework for regulating the teaching profession is still disjointed and scattered in many different laws. This not only causes difficulties in organizing implementation but also makes teachers not feel that they are an important part of the reform process.

The development of the Law on Teachers has a special meaning. This law not only filled legal gaps but also demonstrated a more complete, comprehensive and modern view of a specific profession, closely related to the future of the country.

Notably, this Law on Teachers enters the core axes of the teaching profession: Quality, capacity, working environment and motivation for dedication.

The law touches both the pride and practical worries of the class monitor - in which the issue of stable income and career development opportunities stands out.

Each content in the Law needs to be seriously implemented to ease the pressure weighing on teachers' shoulders, while promoting a fair and civilized educational environment.

The Law on Teachers was issued in a special context: Vietnamese education is strongly transforming towards modernity and integration. From innovating the general education program, enhancing university autonomy, to promoting digital transformation and international cooperation - all require a team of qualified teachers, enough courage and enough confidence to master change.

However, the law only really comes into life when there is the drastic and responsible participation of the Ministry of Education and Training, local authorities as well as each educational institution. Specificating legal regulations, effectively organizing implementation and ensuring accompanying resources are key factors.

The Law on Teachers is the beginning of a long-term, persistent and humane reform journey - focusing on teachers. That is the sustainable foundation for building an advanced, humane education and developing in accordance with social expectations.
