This Congress has a very clear spirit: Moving from awareness to action with specific programs and movements measured by productivity, income and living standards of workers.
In an economy heading towards the goal of high growth, improving labor productivity is also the responsibility of the Trade Union organization to accompany. Trade unions need to contribute to building a disciplined, skilled, and innovative working environment; and at the same time, they must represent to ensure that the additional increase from productivity is converted into wages, income, welfare and development opportunities for workers.
The launch of the new emulation movement "Good Labor, High Productivity, Good Income" shows the very practical thinking of the Trade Union organization in the new term.
The Congress mentioned two breakthroughs that are very close to reality. First of all, it is to improve the quality of the contingent of trade union officials, especially full-time officials and grassroots trade union presidents. This is "key of key", because no matter how right any policy is, it is difficult to go into life if grassroots trade union officials lack the skills to dialogue, negotiate, gather and protect workers.
The second breakthrough is the strong application of science and technology, digital transformation in trade union activities and promotion of production and business. To attract and manage union members, the Trade Union must also digitize the approach to union members, grasp thoughts, manage data, implement welfare, legal advice and organize movements.
Notably, the exchange program between the Prime Minister and delegates with the theme "Vietnamese Trade Unions accompany the Government to improve labor productivity, implement the goal of double-digit growth" further clarifies the new role of the Trade Union organization in accompanying, participating, promoting and supervising economic growth associated with social progress and justice.
From this congress, the biggest expectation of union members and workers nationwide is the action method of the Vietnam Trade Union in the new period. Action to make union members more confident. Action to make workers have better incomes. Action to make businesses develop more sustainably. Action to make the Trade Union organization truly a solid support for the working class and workers in the new era of development. From there, affirming the irreplaceable role of the Trade Union organization in the country's progress.
