Supplementing fiber
Whether choosing breakfast in Asian or European style, you can still increase your fiber intake by prioritizing nutritious and low-processed foods. Sweet potatoes, whole wheat bread or whole wheat bread are options that can partially replace refined starches, making breakfast more balanced.
Replace processed meat with fresh meat
Processed meat is often high in salt and fat, so it should not be used regularly. Instead of bacon, ham or other processed meats, you can prioritize fresh meat, such as tenderloin, to better control the amount of sodium and fat in your diet.
Limit greasy foods
Not only traditional fried dishes, many types of cakes and crispy foods also use significant amounts of oil during processing. Eating too many fatty and energy-rich foods can affect overall health, especially when combined with a high-salt diet. Therefore, fried dishes should be limited and cooking methods such as boiling, steaming or grilling should be prioritized.
Choose the right drink
Due to being busy with work and travel, many people often quickly choose a cup of coffee or soy milk for breakfast. However, even with familiar drinks, the choice and consumption should also be considered.
Black coffee, if used in appropriate amounts and without adding too much sugar, cream or condensed milk, may be a simpler choice than many ready-made coffee drinks containing a lot of sugar and fat. However, you should not abuse coffee and need to adjust your drinking amount to suit your physical condition as well as your health.
