On October 16, Binh Thuan General Hospital is providing emergency care to 4 patients in a family suspected of being poisoned by eating toad fish. These patients are all from Phan Ri Cua commune, Lam Dong province.
Among these patients, there is 1 patient with severe complications, Ms. T.T.N (32 years old).
The patients had symptoms of fatigue, chest tightness, numbness in the lips, limbs... and were initially diagnosed with suspected poisoning due to eating toad fish.

Mr. Vo Minh Chien - Chairman of the People's Committee of Phan Ri Cua commune, Lam Dong province confirmed that a situation has just occurred in the area where people are suspected of being poisoned due to eating toad fish.
"Currently, people are being treated at Binh Thuan General Hospital. The locality has taken steps to support the people" - Mr. Chien added.
Currently, Binh Thuan General Hospital is actively providing emergency care and treatment for patients.
In the coastal area of Lam Dong province, there have been many cases of poisoning when eating toad fish, and there have also been deaths. Most of these cases are rooftop eating caused by fishermen fishing at sea and processing.
