Unsanitary eating and drinking, cold goods can easily knock on doors during the rainy season

Hà Lê |

Floods and inundation cause environmental pollution, creating conditions for bacteria and viruses to grow and increasing the risk of many outbreaks, including welding.

During the rainy season, polluted environments are a favorable condition for welding to break out. The Ministry of Health has just issued recommendations to prevent and control this dangerous infectious disease.

Welding is an infectious disease caused by the Salmonella typhi bacteria. People with high fever often have prolonged fever, headaches, fatigue, digestive disorders such as constipation or diarrhea. However, there are cases where symptoms are mild or unclear. The incubation period is 8 - 14 days.

Source of welding leprosy infection: Patients and people recovered from the disease can still eliminate bacteria into the environment for several weeks after symptoms have gone away. In addition, healthy people carrying bacteria although there are no signs of disease are still susceptible to infection.

Transmission route: The disease is mainly transmitted through contaminated food and drinking water or direct contact with infected people and infectious items. Unsanitary eating is the cause of many cases.

How to prevent diseases: People need to eat cooked food, drink boiled water, maintain personal hygiene and the living environment. Local authorities need to strengthen epidemic supervision in high-risk areas, improve water supply systems, waste treatment, prepare enough drugs and chemicals and promote epidemic prevention propaganda.
