Cho Ray Hospital put into operation modern MRI machines, early diagnosis of a series of serious diseases

HCMC - On November 3, Cho Ray Hospital put into operation the 3.0 Tesla SIGNA Premier resonance system.

The MRI 3.0 Tesla system is the leading advanced diagnostic imaging technology today and the first device deployed in the Southern region. The system allows displaying images of internal organs, blood vessels and soft tissues in outstanding detail, helping doctors detect complex diseases such as stroke, cancer, cardiovascular disease, musculoskeletal disease or neurodegeneration early.

Compared to the previous generation, the MRI 3.0 Tesla machine has the ability to shorten the chuption time from 1520 minutes to just 710 minutes, helping patients reduce the feeling of anxiety and fatigue when lying still in the device.

In particular, artificial intelligence (AI) is comprehensively integrated into the image analysis process, allowing for clearer photo creation, reducing noise and detecting damage more accurately, especially in areas that are difficult to survey such as the brain, heart or joints. AI also helps doctors quickly identify emergency damage, supporting timely treatment decisions.

With a light AIR Coil flexible signal coil design and tightness, patients can take photos in a comfortable position, while the images are much sharper than with regular machines.

The appearance of the MRI 3.0 Tesla system at Cho Ray Hospital not only marks a step forward in technology, but also opens up opportunities to access global high-end diagnostic standards for patients right in Vietnam. This is also an important foundation towards an accurate medical model and personalizing treatment, a trend that is being promoted by developed countries in the smart healthcare era.
