On November 7, 8 leading specialized hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City arrived at Tu Du Hospital, Facility 2 - Can Gio to complete the preparation for the appraisal work of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health. In order to ensure good results before going into operation as planned on November 10, Tu Du Hospital, Facilities 2, has been actively arranging and installing the entire system of facilities and equipment according to the general hospital model.
8 hospitals including: Tu Du Hospital, City Children's Hospital, ENT Hospital, Dentistry Hospital, Eye Hospital, Le Van Thinh Hospital, Institute of Traditional Medicine and Dermatology Hospital have brought modern equipment and high-quality human resources to serve Can Gio people.
This is a public general hospital using the existing infrastructure of the Can Gio District Medical Center (old) managed by Tu Du Hospital (operating according to the model of facility 2) closely linked with many leading general and specialized hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City to become a type of general hospital, serving people living and working in Can Gio and neighboring areas.
A representative of the Department of Health said that Can Gio is a coastal area, where people are still having difficulty accessing high-quality healthcare services, and Can Gio is also in the process of developing a marine economy, tourism, and seaports. The early establishment of a high-quality general hospital here is not only an investment in health care to ensure social security but also has the meaning of creating a healthcare infrastructure to serve socio-economic development, attracting experts and residents.
