On August 29, at the Ho Chi Minh City Health Sector Employment Fair in 2025, Dr. Tran Ngoc Hai - Director of Tu Du Hospital announced the plan to establish a second facility of the hospital in Can Gio commune.
Tu Du Hospital, Facility 2, will be built on the foundation of Can Gio Medical Center - which has made many contributions to public health over the years. With the support of many leading hospitals, this place will be upgraded to a modern general hospital, with equivalent quality at the provincial and municipal levels.
Tu Du Hospital, Facility 2, is oriented to have a scale of 300 beds, including 9 clinical departments, 3 paraclinical departments and 3 functional rooms, providing comprehensive and high-quality medical services.
Specializations for key diseases will include obstetrics, pediatrics, internal medicine (including artificial kidney units), general surgery, emergency resuscitation... along with departments of ENT, maxillofacial, eye, dermatology, traditional medicine - rehabilitation.
The goal of Tu Du Hospital, Facility 2, is to help Can Gio people access high-quality medical services right in the locality, reduce the burden on upper-level hospitals and reduce the travel burden for patients. The hospital will also implement preventive health programs, improve public health, ensure safety for workers, experts and serve the development of medical tourism in the future.
In the future, Tu Du Hospital, Facility 2, will be a modern, competitive medical center, approaching the professional qualifications and service quality of leading hospitals, contributing to realizing the goal of bringing high-quality healthcare closer to all people in Ho Chi Minh City.
