According to the medical work report on the occasion of the Lunar New Year At Ty 2025, from January 25 (26th of Tet) to February 2 (5th of Tet), in Can Tho there were 25,050 cases of patients coming for examination, emergency care, and accidents (an increase of 153.15% over the same period).
The number of medical examination and treatment cases related to traffic accidents was 937 (up 19.3% over the same period); of which 471 cases occurred in the city (up 15.7% over the same period).
Units under the Department of Health have assigned specific 24/7 duty schedules, fully prepared medicines and emergency equipment to ensure readiness of equipment and human resources for medical examination, treatment and emergency, and ensured information reporting regime.

Hospitals also base on the actual situation at the unit, organize outpatient examination and treatment according to patient requests, arrange for medical staff to take compensatory leave according to regulations. Regarding food hygiene and safety, fortunately there were no food poisoning incidents.
Currently, Can Tho City continues to implement Plan No. 5974 dated December 31, 2024 of the Interdisciplinary Steering Committee for Food Safety and Hygiene on the implementation of food safety work for the Lunar New Year and the 2025 Spring Festival season in the city.
