On August 6, at Can Tho Hematology - Blood Transfusion Hospital, the "Hot Blood Bank" club established by Can Tho City Police participated in donating 204 units of blood, practically celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Public Security Traditional Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 2005 - August 19, 2025).
The activity is within the framework of the voluntary blood donation campaign plan in the City Police in 2025, concretizing the policy of the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation to implement the Voluntary Blood Donation Campaign for Tet and the Red Spring Festival in 2025.
Comrade Nguyen Thanh Thai - Deputy Head of the Youth Union of Can Tho City Police - said that the "Hot Blood Bank" club of the City Police was established with the goal of mobilizing officers, soldiers, relatives and people of all walks of life in the area to participate in voluntary blood donation.
The club has attracted individuals with enthusiasm, volunteerism and passion for volunteer activities, accompanying the City Police in meeting the needs of emergency blood and treatment for people.
Established in March 2025, the "Hot Blood Bank" club is one of the typical models launched at the 2025 Youth Month launch ceremony.
During its activities, the club has attracted more than 120 members who are officers, soldiers and students of universities and colleges in the city, donating more than 400 units of blood, contributing to the development of voluntary blood donors and continuing to maintain a regular, continuous, safe and effective blood donor source in the city.
