From August 7 to August 10, 2025, in Hanoi, there will be a number of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution, the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam September 2 and the Festival for the Peaceful Capital. Hanoi City Police announced traffic flow and organized directions for vehicles as follows:
Routes where vehicles are completely banned
From 04:00 to 08:00 on August 7, from 07:00 to 12:00 on August 8 and from 06:30 to 12:00 on August 9 and 10, vehicles are prohibited from circulating on the following routes:
Dinh Tien Hoang and Le Lai (section from Ly Thai To to Dinh Tien Hoang), Le Thach, Dinh Le, Nguyen Xi, Trang Tien (from Dinh Tien Hoang to Ngo Quyen), Ngo Quyen (from Trang Tien to Le Lai), Ly Thai To (from Tran Nguyen Han to Le Lai), Hang Khay, Le Thai To, Hang Dau (from Lo Su to Dinh Tien Hoang), Lo Su (from Hang Dau Hoang) from Ly Nguyen Khan, from Ly Nguyen Khan, from Ly Nguyen Khan, from Ly Nguyen Khan, from Ly Nguyen Khan, from Ly Nguyen Khan to Ly Nguyen Khan, from Ly Nguyen Khan, from Ly Nguyen Khan to Ly Nguyen Khan, from Ly Nguyen Khan to Ly Nguyen Khan, from Ly Nguyen Khan, Ly Nguyen Han Hoang), Luong Van Can (from Hang Hanh to Le Thai To), Bao Khanh (from Bao Khanh alley to Le Thai To), Hang Bai (from Hai Ba Trung to Hang Khay), Mrs. Trieu (from Hai Ba Trung to Hang Khay), the State Bank Square (half the road adjacent to the flower garden of King Ly Thai To).
Routes temporarily banned, vehicles restricted
From 04:00 to 08:00 on August 7, from 07:00 to 12:00 on August 8 and from 06:30 to 12:00 on August 9 and 10, cargo vehicles with a carrying capacity of 500kg or more, passenger cars with 16 seats or more (except for buses, garbage trucks, incident handling vehicles, vehicles with protection badges) and restrictions on private cars and motorbikes operating on some routes:
Ngo Quyen, Ly Thai To, Tran Nguyen Han, Nguyen Huu Huan, Le Lai, Ba Trieu, Hang Bai, Ly Thuong Kiet, Tran Hung Dao, Hai Ba Trung, Le Thanh Tong, Phan Chu Trinh, Tran Quang Khai, Tran Khanh Du, Pho Hue, Hang Bong, Hang Gai, Hang Trong, Nha Tho, Nha Chung, Quang Trung.
During the above period, Hanoi City Police organized the following instructions for vehicles subject to temporary ban and restrictions:
Vehicles from the eastern and northeastern wards and communes of Hanoi (Gia Lam, Long Bien, Phuc Loi, Viet Hung...) to the western and northwestern wards and communes of the city (Hai Ba Trung, Dong Da, Tu Liem, O Dien, ...) will pass through Nhat Tan Bridge, Long Bien Bridge, Vinh Tuy Bridge, Thanh Tri Bridge - to De 401, Tran Nhat Duat, Yen Phu, Thanh Nien, Vo Chi Cong, Ring Road 3 ... and vice versa.
Vehicles from northern wards and communes of Hanoi (Tay Ho, Dong Anh...) to southern wards and communes of the city (Hoang Mai, Thanh Tri, ...) will pass through Nhat Tan bridge, Thang Long bridge - to Vo Chi Cong, Pham Van Dong, Pham Hung, belt 2, belt 3 ... and vice versa.
Hanoi City Police require all vehicles participating in traffic to be self-conscious, strictly comply with the Law on Traffic Safety and Order and follow the instructions and traffic flow of the authorities.
