At the same time, coordinate with accommodation establishments and hotels to monitor guests if they have passed through an epidemic area within 14 days. Be ready with manpower, chemicals, and equipment to zone, isolate... if there are suspected cases.
To proactively prevent and control Nipah virus disease, Ha Tinh CDC recommends that people limit going to areas with Nipah virus epidemics. Monitor health within 14 days after returning from the epidemic area.
When suspicious symptoms such as headache, muscle pain, vomiting, dizziness, drowsiness, confusion, convulsions appear, it is necessary to go to the nearest medical facility immediately, limit contact with others and provide full epidemiological information to medical staff.
Strictly implement food hygiene and safety such as eating cooked food, drinking boiled water, washing, peeling fruits before eating; do not use food or fruits showing signs of being bitten or gnawed by bats, birds or other animals.
Do not come into close contact with fruit bats and animals at risk of disease transmission; wash your hands regularly with soap or antiseptic solution after contacting or slaughtering animals.
Limit direct contact with suspected or infected people; fully use personal protective equipment when caring for and treating patients and perform hand hygiene according to regulations.
