According to initial information, Bac Me Regional General Hospital has received emergency treatment for 3 patients in particularly critical condition. The patients are said to have used the same type of water mixed from plant materials before serious symptoms appeared.
When admitted to the hospital, all 3 people were in a state of circulatory arrest, respiratory arrest, suspected of being related to food poisoning. To date, 2 people have died, and one person is being treated.
Immediately after receiving the information, the Food Safety Department sent a document to the Tuyen Quang Provincial Department of Health, requesting the locality to urgently verify and handle the incident.
The Department requested the Department of Health to direct the hospital that is treating patients to focus resources and actively rescue people with poisoning.
At the same time, relevant units need to quickly verify, investigate and take samples of food or raw materials suspected of causing poisoning, if any. Testing these samples will help functional agencies identify possible agents related to the incident.
