On September 2, Mr. Hoang Hai Phuc - Director of the Center for Disease Control (CDC) of Dak Lak province - informed that the unit had issued a document requesting the grassroots health system to strengthen communication work on disease prevention and control in the 2025-2026 school year.
According to statistics from CDC Dak Lak, from the beginning of 2025 to now, the whole province has had more than 200 cases of dengue fever scattered in all areas. In some communes and wards in the western part of the province, the number of cases is still on the rise.
As of the end of August 2025, the whole province recorded 3,914 cases of dengue fever. In addition, some infectious diseases such as chickenpox, hand, foot and mouth disease, seasonal flu, measles, etc. are also at risk of re-ikerishing in the last months of 2025.
According to Mr. Phuc, in order to ensure good implementation of disease prevention and control at the facility, the unit has requested health centers to proactively coordinate with schools in the area to deploy communication activities for prevention for students.
The authorities need to proactively monitor, detect, report and guide timely handling when suspected cases of disease appear in schools.
At the same time, organize training for teachers on measures to prevent dengue fever, hand, foot and mouth disease, chickenpox, measles, seasonal flu... and integrate propaganda content into lessons and extracurricular activities.
Preventing and controlling infectious diseases in schools is extremely important. Thereby, contributing to reducing cases of students infected with the disease, especially in remote areas and ethnic minority areas, avoiding the risk of widespread spread, Mr. Phuc emphasized.
