On October 16, Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan directed to strengthen state management, prevent professional violations in medical examination, treatment, pharmaceutical practice and health care in the province.
Recently, there have been a number of violations of professional regulations in medical examination and treatment activities at public and non-public health facilities, affecting service quality, the reputation of the health sector and the trust of the people. Most recently, the case of the Central Highlands General Hospital allowing violations in the professional process occurred, causing bad public opinion.
In order to prevent violations, the Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Health and related units to urgently tighten discipline and administrative discipline; strengthen inspection and supervision at medical examination, treatment and pharmaceutical establishments; promptly detect and strictly handle violations related to expertise, degrees, practice certificates, technical processes and professional ethics. At the same time, strictly inspect health care, beauty and aesthetic activities in the area.
Rectify and strengthen all professional activities at public and non-public health facilities, ensuring strict compliance with technical procedures and professional instructions of the Ministry of Health; ensuring safety for patients.
"D resolutely handle violations and lack of responsibility in management and performance of professional tasks; publicize the handling results for general deterrence and prevention", the Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee emphasized.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested to strengthen propaganda and training to raise awareness and professional responsibility for civil servants, public employees, and health workers; encourage people to report negative behaviors and violations for timely handling.
Regarding the purchase of assets and medical equipment from the state budget, it is required to comply with regulations, ensure efficiency, savings and progress; maximize the efficiency of using medical machinery and equipment, avoid waste.
