On May 15, the Hanoi People's Committee issued a plan for international cooperation on technology transfer in the city's health sector until 2030.

Accordingly, the goal of the plan is to improve the quality of health services through access to and application of advanced health technologies from countries with developed medicine, contributing to improving the effectiveness of medical examination and treatment, improving diagnosis and treatment capacity.

At the same time, develop cooperation with potential partners such as: US, France, Germany, Russia, Japan, China, Korea, Singapore... international health organizations; leading health technology corporations in the world.

The City People's Committee issued a plan with 4 key contents. First is to promote the transfer of highly applicable medical technologies with great potential, developed on the basis of the application of core technologies of the 4th industrial revolution such as: AI in medicine; Smart and sensoric medical equipment; regenerative medicine and 3D printing technology; genetic technology and gene editing; nano technology in healthcare; blockchain in medical data management; virtual reality (VR) and enhanced AR in healthcare and specialized medical technology such as endoscopy surgery, organ transplantation, cancer, cardiology, neurology - spine...

Establishing and expanding integration and international cooperation activities on technology transfer in the field of health: Signing and implementing international agreements, cooperation programs with foreign partners on scientific research, application and technology transfer in the field of health. Participate in regional and international organizations and networks on scientific research, application and technology development, innovation, and at the same time, expanding forms of cooperation with international agencies and organizations in scientific research, application and technology transfer.

Strengthen international cooperation in training, coaching, fostering, exchanging experiences in the application and transfer of medical technology: Establish training, coaching, fostering, researching and exchanging international academic programs at home and abroad; build mechanisms and policies to attract foreign scientists, experts, lecturers to exchange academics, train, teach, coach and provide consultation support on technology transfer at hospitals, medical facilities...

Promote the attraction and effective use of foreign resources and international partners for research, application and technology transfer activities in the health sector: Develop mechanisms and policies to enhance international cooperation, encourage foreign investment attraction, protect intellectual property rights for research, application and technology transfer activities...

The Hanoi People's Committee assigned the Department of Health to direct and guide affiliated units to develop international cooperation plans on research, application and technology transfer according to the functions and tasks of the unit.

At the same time, coordinate with the Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Finance, the Office of the City People's Committee and related units to review and propose mechanisms and policies to encourage international cooperation, attract foreign resources for research activities, application and technology transfer in the health and pharmaceutical fields.
