Hai Phong aims to implement coverage of health care and health insurance for all people; all people are managed and cared for; guaranteed equal rights and obligations in participating in health insurance and enjoying health services. Along with that, implement the medical service price mechanism according to state regulations to firmly develop the grassroots health system.
Regarding the development of medical infrastructure, the City People's Council decided to invest in a total investment of 391 billion VND to implement the Investment projects to build the Emergency and Resuscitation Department - Anti-Poison - External Medicine under Vinh Bao General Hospital; the Investment project to build the Expansion of Thuy Nguyen General Hospital - Phase I; the Investment project to build an interdisciplinary examination area under Tien Lang Medical Center; the investment project to build a 2-storey public service house, dining room, infection control house under Bach Long Vi Military-Civilian Medical Center; the investment project to build a Center to protect and care for the health of city officials.
In the first 6 months of 2025, the city has handed over and received medical machinery and equipment to serve operations and improve medical examination and treatment capacity at 14 affiliated units.
