On May 4, Hue Central Hospital announced that during the 5 days off on April 30 - May 1, the hospital received 116 cases of traffic accidents, including 1 death. There were 12 injuries from a fight, about 60 household accidents and 1,825 other emergency care. Notably, there were no food poisoning cases or accidents caused by firecrackers or homemade explosives.
The hospital also welcomed nearly 130 newborns and performed 211 surgeries. During the holiday, the number of inpatients reached more than 1,400 cases, bringing the total number of inpatients to about 4,000.
According to the hospital, the number of accidents and poisoning cases has decreased compared to last year's holiday. The hospital maintains 24/7 duty, ensuring human resources, medicine, and emergency supplies.
At the same time, medical facilities under the Hue City Department of Health received nearly 10,000 visits, including more than 1,700 inpatient treatment cases, an increase of nearly 29% over the same period in 2024. Epidemic prevention and poisoning work has been implemented synchronously and there have been no serious incidents.
