On August 16, information from the Lao Cai Provincial Department of Health, the unit just met and made an initial conclusion on the cause of the female patient's unusual death at Lao Cai Provincial General Hospital - Facility 1 on July 23.
According to the announcement, on July 24, after patient Dang Thi M (born in 1977, in Tran Yen commune, Lao Cai province) died at the hospital, the unit established a professional council to determine the cause.
On August 12, Ms. Pham Bich Van - Deputy Director of Lao Cai Department of Health - signed a written announcement of conclusions of the Provincial General Hospital of General Hospital - Facility 1, stated: This could be a case of dangerous arrhythmia, ventricular vibration, not eliminating pulmonary infarction/hypertension, physical weakness, prolonged insomnia, a rapid, sudden and fatal disease.
At the same time, he affirmed that this was an unexpected medical complication. During the process of medical examination and treatment, Lao Cai General Hospital - facility 1, has properly fulfilled its responsibility to care for and treat patients and regulations on technical expertise.
Currently, the Department of Health has invited experts who are leading doctors in the field of Emergency and Cardiology of Bach Mai Hospital to join the Department-level Professional Council.
The establishment of a Department-level Professional Council aims to determine whether there were professional errors in the process of receiving, diagnosing, and treating patients; Personal responsibility for errors leading to Ms. Dang Thi M's death (if any).

Previously, as reported by Lao Dong, patient Dang Thi M (born in 1977, in Tran Yen commune, Lao Cai province) went to Tran Yen Regional Medical Center for treatment with a headache and dizziness from July 16 to July 22.
After a week of treatment without progress, the patient requested to be transferred to Friendship General Hospital 103 for treatment.
Here, patient Dang Thi M was admitted to the hospital for treatment at 11pm, July 22 and was initially diagnosed with cerebral coronary artery disease.
However, because the CT scanner system at that time was under maintenance and could not be taken, the hospital advised the patient's family to transfer to Lao Cai Provincial General Hospital - facility 1 for treatment.
This hospital received patient Dang Thi M at 11:37 in a state of headache, dizziness, numbness in the limbs, fatigue, prolonged insomnia, and mild difficulty breathing.
Immediately upon admission, the on-duty team supported patient M to breathe oxygen, receive fluids, increase brain circulation, and perform basic and in-depth tests.
On July 23, doctors continued to prescribe additional paraclinical techniques for examination. The returned results did not record any obvious damage at the time of implementation. The patient's vital signs were stable.
However, at 5:00 p.m. the same day, patient Dang Thi M suddenly became seriously ill, stopped circulating and died after unsuccessful intensive care.
