On the morning of July 12, Quang Tri Department of Health coordinated with Dong Hoi Ward People's Committee to organize a launching ceremony for the peak campaign of periodic health check-ups and screening for people in the province in 2026.
Attending the ceremony were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Tan, along with representatives of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee, departments, branches, localities and a large number of medical staff and people.

The campaign is implemented to concretize the policy of strengthening care, protection and improvement of people's health; and at the same time promote digital transformation in the health sector, building an electronic health database to serve the management and monitoring of people's health.
According to the plan, from now until August 30th is the peak period for organizing periodic health check-ups and screenings throughout the province. After the peak period, the program will continue to be implemented according to a roadmap, aiming for the goal that all people have access to health check-up and screening services right at the grassroots level.

All examination results will be updated to the personal health database and integrated into the Electronic Health Record on the VNeID application. This helps people conveniently monitor their health status, medical history, and at the same time supports medical facilities in managing and continuously monitoring health, early detection of diseases for timely consultation and treatment.

To make the campaign effective, the Department of Health requests medical examination and treatment facilities to fully prepare human resources, equipment, and medical supplies; ensure professional quality in the examination and post-examination consultation process and update health data in accordance with regulations.
Localities are requested to continue to review subjects, mobilize support forces, and create conditions for people, especially in remote and isolated areas, to fully participate in health check-ups. Agencies, units, and businesses also coordinate to organize periodic health check-ups for officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers according to plan.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Ms. Diep Thi Minh Quyet - Director of Quang Tri Department of Health said that the 2026 periodic health check-up campaign is of great significance in improving the quality of people's health care, gradually changing habits from "newly treated when sick" to proactive disease prevention, early detection and timely treatment.
In the initial stage, the health sector prioritizes examination for more than 90,000 people with meritorious services to the revolution and people with disabilities, then expands according to the roadmap to the entire population" - Director of Quang Tri Department of Health informed.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, doctors and nurses of Dong Hoi Regional General Hospital and Dong Hoi Ward Health Station organized health check-ups for people with meritorious services and people with disabilities in the area. On July 12, the campaign was also launched simultaneously in communes, wards and special zones throughout the province.

According to the health sector, the campaign aims to raise people's awareness of periodic health check-ups, promote the shift from the mindset of "if you have a disease, you can treat it" to proactive disease prevention, early detection and timely treatment, contributing to improving the quality of primary health care and the quality of life of the people.
