On the morning of August 19, in Vinh Hung ward, Nghe An province, the inauguration ceremony of Nghe An Oncology Hospital Phase 2 took place, one of 250 works and projects with a total investment of 1.28 million billion VND, which was inaugurated by the Government, starting construction to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.
The event was held online from the Vietnam Exhibition Center (Hanoi) to 79 locations in 34 provinces and cities and was broadcast live by Vietnam Television.

At Nghe An bridge, the event was attended by comrade Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Council, People's Committee; and leaders of departments, localities and Nghe An Oncology Hospital.
Nghe An Oncology Hospital was established 15 years ago with a scale of 50 beds and 50 positions. In order to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, the hospital construction project is being implemented with a total investment of 1,689 billion VND, including phase 1 (430 billion VND) and phase 2 (1,59 billion VND), with a scale of more than 1,000 beds, modern equipment systems meeting international standards.
To date, the hospital is the end-line oncology facility of the North Central region, with over 85% of techniques on par with the Central level, nearly 500 scientific research topics, 21 creative awards, a team of doctors with high qualifications and rich medical ethics.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh emphasized: "The project not only expands facilities and beds but also raises the level of operation, expands treatment areas, meets the needs of specialized medical examination and treatment, reduces pressure for transfer to higher levels, saves costs and time for patients".
The Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee thanked the General Secretary, Prime Minister and leaders of the Party and State for their attention and close direction so that Nghe An health sector can take a new step in development, contributing to the health of the community and the cause of building a strong and prosperous country.
