On January 20, in Duc Trong commune, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization of Lam Dong province coordinated with the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization of Duc Trong district to organize the Launching Ceremony of the "Spring Rose Festival" 2026.
The voluntary blood donation campaign during Tet and the "Red Spring Festival" in 2026 is implemented with the message "Blood donation at the beginning of spring - Multiplying happiness".
This is a key activity in the voluntary blood donation campaign during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year, aimed at ensuring a safe blood source to serve emergency and treatment for patients at a time when blood demand is high.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Dinh Van Tuan emphasized that voluntary blood donation is a noble gesture, showing the nation's tradition of compassion.
Thereby, affirming that the "Spring Rose Festival" has become an annual activity of practical significance, contributing to timely supplementing blood sources for emergency and treatment, especially during the Lunar New Year.
According to Mr. Dinh Van Tuan, the Red Spring Festival is not only a simple medical activity but also becomes a festival of compassion, a cultural beauty rich in humanity of the people of Lam Dong every Tet and Spring.
The drops of blood donated in the early days of spring not only have the meaning of saving people but also deeply spread the spirit of'love others as you love yourself' - a sustainable value of the community," Mr. Tuan emphasized.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee called on officials, civil servants, public employees, armed forces and people from all walks of life to continue to actively respond to the voluntary blood donation movement.
At the same time, it requested the Steering Committees at all levels, sectors of Health and the Red Cross to closely coordinate, organize scientific and safe blood donation points; receive, preserve and use each unit of blood effectively.
According to the plan, in 2026, Lam Dong province strives to mobilize and receive over 19,000 units of blood; the "Spring Rose Festival" alone is expected to receive about 5,000 safe blood units.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee presented souvenir flags and flowers to the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization of Duc Trong district - the unit hosting the launching ceremony.
At the same time, awarding certificates of merit to 12 collectives and 14 individuals with outstanding achievements in voluntary blood donation in 2025.
Immediately after the ceremony, delegates along with a large number of officials, union members, volunteers and people participated in voluntary blood donation.
