The Government Inspectorate said that it has just issued a Report on the Results of Resolving and Responding to voters' petitions sent after the 9th Session of the 15th National Assembly.
In particular, voters in Ho Chi Minh City proposed to strengthen periodic and surprise inspections of production activities in industrial parks to handle organizations and individuals producing and trading in counterfeit, fake and poor quality goods more strictly.
Responding to this issue, the Government Inspectorate said that in recent times, many violations related to organizations and individuals producing and trading counterfeit goods, counterfeit goods, and poor quality goods in industrial parks, handicrafts, craft villages, and tourist streets have been detected and strictly handled.
According to the report of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry has issued many documents directing and urging the work of preventing, combating and handling acts of production and trading of counterfeit goods, banned goods, goods of unknown origin; acts of infringing on intellectual property rights; acts of violating the law on quality measurement, food safety; acts of violating the law on consumer protection rights and acts of commercial fraud according to other legal regulations.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade has requested the Departments of Industry and Trade of provinces and centrally run cities to direct local Market Management Departments to focus on implementing local management work, regularly monitoring and supervising the market to promptly detect unusual developments of goods circulating on the market; proactively coordinate with local authorities to comprehensively review and inspect production and trading establishments with signs of violating the law, including production activities in industrial parks and industrial clusters.
On August 5, 2025, the Prime Minister issued Decree No. 217/2025/ND-CP on specialized inspection activities, Ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies and Chairmen of People's Committees at all levels with the authority to conduct specialized inspections for organizations and individuals under their management, in cases where the inspection is not yet competent enough to review, evaluate and clarify, and request the Head of the specialized inspection team to report to the person issuing the decision on specialized inspection to request or request the competent inspection agency to conduct the inspection.
"In the coming time, based on the inspection and supervision results of agencies managing sectors and fields, the Government Inspectorate will coordinate to study and assess the situation, if necessary, will make recommendations and proposals to the Prime Minister on orientation and developing an inspection plan according to regulations" - the Government Inspectorate said.
