On June 5, Mr. Pham Giang Nam - Director of Dien Bien Department of Health - said that from June 8 to June 12, the Free Examination and Surgery Program for children with disabilities in difficult circumstances will be organized at the Provincial General Hospital.
The program is organized by Center II - Directly supporting children with disabilities (Vietnam Association for the Protection of People with Disabilities) in coordination with the Provincial General Hospital.
According to the plan, the surgical subjects include: Children who have undergone screening and have surgical indications; Children who come on their own (without prior screening), if they are eligible for surgery; Children with new disabilities who have never undergone screening.
It is expected that about 250 patients will have surgery. Specifically, about 175 patients will have surgery from June 8 to June 12, and about 75 patients will have surgery after June 12.
Directly participating in the surgery were Doctors, leading experts from Hospitals: Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, Bach Mai Hospital, Central Eye Hospital, Xanh Pon General Hospital; along with Doctors and staff of Dien Bien Provincial General Hospital.
