This is an important milestone in the modernization roadmap, contributing to improving the quality of diagnosis and treatment, shortening the time to return results and bringing many practical benefits to patients.
The testing automation system is designed modernly, suitable for large-scale laboratories, allowing the integration and connection of a variety of analytical machines. The entire process from receiving, processing, analyzing to returning results is closed and quality control is completely automatic.

In particular, the system is capable of early and comprehensive testing of sample quality, while being flexible in sample processing and sample storage. This helps optimize both the speed and accuracy of testing, even when receiving large samples.
Currently, the testing automation system is considered a pioneering solution in connecting clinical biological diagnosis, urine analysis and complete testing portfolios. The system can easily connect to many different analysis devices in multiple tasks, while integrating post-analysis, additional testing and sample storage according to the laboratory's process.
Thanks to that, laboratories can accurately estimate the time to return the results even in conditions of increased sample flow.
Doctor Nguyen Thi Dieu Hien, Deputy Head of the Testing Department, Can Tho Mekong Delta Hospital - said that currently, the hospital's Testing Department receives 9,000 - 10,000 tests of all kinds each day such as: biochemistry, immunology, clinical biology, parasites, microorganisms, etc.
The operation of the testing automation system helps reduce pressure on medical staff, improve the capacity to serve patients in the Mekong Delta.
According to Dr. Hien, with the new technology, the time to return test results will be significantly shortened, ensuring high reliability, the testing automation system will be an effective support tool for the laboratory for diagnosis and treatment, while contributing to improving patient satisfaction.
Along with the operation of the testing automation system, it is a great step forward, affirming the journey of Can Tho General Hospital in applying modern technology to medical examination and treatment.

As a final-line hospital of the Ministry of Health in the Mekong Delta, every day, Can Tho Mekong Delta Hospital receives from 2,000 to 2,500 people for outpatient examination and treatment. The number of inpatients also ranges from 1,500 to 1,700/day.
In addition to specialized human resources and modern equipment, applying a testing automation system to medical examination and treatment is not only a solution to improve professional efficiency but also a consistent orientation of the hospital to always take patients as the center; building the image of a modern, friendly, safe and quality hospital, a reliable health care address for people in the region and the whole country.
