Regarding the case of many people suspected of being poisoned after having lunch at a company in Dong Hung Thuan ward, at noon on November 11, the Department of Food Safety of Ho Chi Minh City said that the unit had verified, investigated, taken analytical samples and sent them for testing.
Information from the People's Committee of Dong Hung Thuan Ward said that through preliminary information, the lunch on November 10 at the company on National Highway 1A (wards 13.) had 410 employees.
After the meal, 50 people with symptoms of nausea, abdominal pain, red skin rash, itching of the face... were taken to medical units including Trung My Tay Regional Hospital, Tan Phu Regional Hospital, Tan Binh Regional Hospital, Thanh Cong General Hospital. As of this morning, the cases have been discharged from the hospital, and a pregnant woman is in good health and the doctor suggested continuing to monitor her.
Previously, Ho Chi Minh City also recorded a food poisoning case related to the Ms. Bich toad loaf system, causing 235 people to be hospitalized at 13 hospitals in the area. The authorities have established an inspection team to collect bread samples and related ingredients for testing. Regarding this incident, on November 10, the Department of Food Safety (Ministry of Health) sent a document to the Department of Food Safety of Ho Chi Minh City to investigate and handle the suspected food poisoning case.
