Ms. Ngo Thi Nguyen (born in 1994, currently residing in Phao Tan residential group, Chi Linh ward, Hai Phong city) is one of the cases in difficult circumstances in the locality. For nearly a decade, Ms. Nguyen's life has been associated with hospitals, continuous surgeries and prolonged treatment processes.
Previously, Ms. Nguyen had a peaceful home with her husband and children. But the biggest upheaval in her life began right on the year she gave birth to her first daughter.
In January 2016, Ms. Nguyen gave birth by cesarean section. It seemed that happiness would be more complete when welcoming her child into the world, but just a few months later, in September 2016, she had to be hospitalized for peritonitis surgery. Since then, her life has been almost closely associated with continuous surgeries.

In the period from March to July 2017, Ms. Nguyen underwent 5 consecutive surgeries due to intestinal obstruction. Not stopping there, from June to August 2018, she continued to have 2 more surgeries, forced to have her entire colon removed and have an artificial anus to maintain life.
By the beginning of 2025, her health condition became increasingly serious. From February to October 2025, she had to undergo 3 more surgeries due to small bowel obstruction and small bowel necrosis, and had to have an artificial anus redone. To date, Ms. Nguyen has undergone a total of 12 major and minor surgeries, including one cesarean section.
Not only suffering the consequences of many surgeries, Ms. Nguyen also suffered from a series of serious diseases such as blood clotting disorders, systemic lupus erythematosus and colon lymphoma.
Currently, every month she has to go to the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion (Hanoi) for blood transfusion and periodic blood clotting treatment. A few days ago, she continued to suffer from severe gastrointestinal bleeding and had to be transferred to Bach Mai Hospital (Hanoi) for emergency treatment, currently being treated at the Department of Gastroenterology.
Regarding her family circumstances, due to prolonged illness, Ms. Nguyen has returned to live with her biological parents for convenient care. Her husband and children are currently living separately, and cannot afford living expenses or hospital fees for her.
Poor health prevents her from going to work, all living expenses and hospital fees can almost only rely on the meager monthly allowance.
Her parents are both over 50 years old. Her father suffers from neurological illness and has to be treated and take medication regularly at the Provincial Mental Hospital. Her mother, because she has to follow her daughter to the hospital for regular care, cannot go to work stably. Each month, Ms. Nguyen and her father only receive a total allowance of about 800,000 VND, not enough to cover the minimum costs.

Mr. Pham Thanh Lang - Head of Phao Tan residential group - shared: "Before, Nguyen had his own family, but due to illness and continuous surgeries, he had to go to his mother's house for convenient care. His father also has mental problems, and his mother can only take care of her child, so the family is very difficult. Nguyen's family is very difficult and needs to be cared for and supported.
