The life of Ms. Dang Thanh Quynh (born in 1989, living in Yen Ninh 3 residential group, Yen Bai ward, Lao Cai province) continuously faced upheavals. After a failed marriage, Ms. Quynh alone raised her daughter born in 2011.
After that, she remarried her husband who had also divorced and had a riêng daughter born in 2014. The two lives that were once hurt relied on each other to build a new home.
In 2024, joy came when the couple welcomed their child, baby Do Hoang Anh. However, happiness had not yet been complete when storms struck again. Baby Hoang Anh unfortunately suffered from congenital adrenal hyperplasia. This is a rare congenital disease and there is currently no specific treatment, forcing the baby to live with the disease for life.
Since then, continuous hospital trips have become a burden both mentally and economically for the family.
Despite difficult circumstances, Ms. Quynh and her husband still worked hard and saved money to take care of their 3 children. But by the end of 2025, the family continued to receive a shock when Ms. Quynh was diagnosed with late-stage breast cancer. After that, the tumor metastasized to the armpit lymph nodes.

Currently, she is being treated at K Tan Trieu Hospital (Hanoi), with a 14-day periodic chemotherapy regimen, costing about 4 million VND per course, not including living expenses and travel expenses.
After 8 rounds of chemotherapy, she is preparing to undergo surgery, but the financial problem is becoming deadlocked.
Previously, Ms. Quynh worked as an egg trader. Since giving birth to a sick young child, she has been forced to stay at home to take care of them. All household expenses currently depend on the income of about 8 million VND per month from her husband's freelance work.
Difficulties piled up when the family still has many sick relatives. Her father has liver disease and cannot work. Her mother is old but still has to do small business to help her with hospital fees. Her younger brother is also currently bedridden due to a broken leg.
Ms. Quynh choked up: "All expenses in the house currently almost depend on my husband. Old and weak parents still have to take care of my medical treatment, everyone is exhausted...".

Not only that, before that, her family's house was collapsed by floods and had to borrow money to repair it. The cost of treatment for her and her child has made the debt increasingly large, currently up to about 400 million VND.
Amidst difficult circumstances, the mother of 3 still tried to cling to the hope of continuing treatment to be able to live and take care of her children.
I just hope to have more conditions for treatment to have health by my side and raise my children to adulthood...", Ms. Quynh confided.
Talking to Lao Dong reporters, Mr. Nguyen Manh Khoi - Head of Yen Ninh 3 residential group, Yen Bai ward - said that Ms. Quynh's family is in a very difficult situation when both mother and child are sick and have to bear large treatment costs.
We really hope philanthropists will pay attention and support so that Quynh's family has more conditions to overcome difficulties," Mr. Khoi shared.
