While in 12th grade with many dreams ahead, Ngo Thi Anh Nguyet (born in 2008, residing in An Hong village, Bao Thang commune, Lao Cai province) suddenly suffered from a dangerous disease that gradually caused her body to lose mobility.
Currently, she is paralyzed all over her body, and all activities depend on the care of relatives.
According to the family, in September 2025, while studying in 12th grade, Nguyet suddenly developed the disease. Initially, her limbs appeared constricted, and her health deteriorated rapidly.

Although he was taken to many medical facilities for examination and treatment, his condition did not improve.
After only a short time, the terrible disease has taken away the female student's ability to move. To date, Nguyet cannot walk on her own or perform the simplest personal activities.
The tragedy became even more compounded when Nguyet's mother passed away due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021.
In a family of four sisters, Nguyet is the eldest sister. After the tragedy of losing her wife, the father alone shouldered the burden of raising children, and life, which was already difficult, became even more difficult.
Currently, Nguyet is taken by her paternal grandparents to take care of at home in An Hong village. Her paternal grandparents are old but still stay by her grandchild's side every day.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thia (Nguyet's grandmother) said that since her grandchild developed the disease and then became paralyzed, all activities from eating, personal hygiene to grooming have been directly taken care of by her grandparents.
According to Ms. Thia, after Nguyet's mother passed away, the family burden fell on the father's shoulders. Currently, Nguyet's father is working in Dong Nai to earn income to raise his children, but his job is unstable, while there are still three other children of school age, so the circumstances are extremely difficult.
I love her very much, but the family doesn't know how to manage. Her mother died early, her father works far away, and the economy is tight. Since she got sick, grandparents have only known how to try to take care of every meal and sleep for her. Looking at her lying in one place is very heartbreaking," Mrs. Thia choked up.

In the past two months, Nguyet's illness has continued to worsen. She is completely unable to serve herself, all activities need support. The wheelchair she is currently using is a meaningful gift from the villagers and philanthropists.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Trung Thanh - Chairman of Bao Thang Commune People's Committee confirmed that Ngo Thi Anh Nguyet's situation is particularly difficult.
According to Mr. Thanh, Nguyet unfortunately suffered from a serious illness when she was a 12th grade student, is now completely paralyzed and has to depend on relatives. Her mother died early, her father worked as a freelancer far away, and the care was mainly taken care of by her elderly paternal grandparents.
The locality is very sympathetic to Nguyet's situation. Currently, the Bao Thang Commune Red Cross Society and organizations and unions are coordinating to call on philanthropists and benefactors to join hands to support treatment costs and help the family reduce difficulties in life," Mr. Thanh said.

Looking at the 18-year-old girl lying quietly on the hospital bed, many people cannot help but feel heartbroken. Unfinished study plans have now been temporarily put aside due to illness and difficult circumstances.
Faced with the particularly tragic situation of Ngo Thi Anh Nguyet, we really hope that readers, philanthropists, businesses and kind hearts near and far will join hands to share and support her to have more conditions for treatment.
