According to VNA, on the evening of August 10 (local time), a series of traffic accidents occurred in the Genting Plateau, Pahang state (Malaysia), involving a bus carrying 20 Vietnamese tourists and 2 other cars.
Initial information said that no tourists were seriously injured and all were safe.
The Vietnamese Embassy in Malaysia has proactively and promptly monitored and contacted authorities to carry out citizen protection work.
Pahang state police chief Datuk Seri Yahaya Othman said the accident occurred at around 5 p.m. the same day. The bus is believed to have lost control and crashed into the rear of a Perodua Myvi and a Toyota Innova, causing all three vehicles to slide off the lane.
According to the police, the bus driver was slightly injured while all passengers, including 20 Vietnamese people and 1 tour guide, were safe. The Malaysian Fire and Rescue Force (JBPM) in Pahang state quickly arrived at the scene to carry out rescue work.
According to JBPM spokesperson, the bus is on the journey from Genting Plateau tourist destination to Dong Batu in Selangor state.
