As the East Coast of the United States is gradually recovering from a major snowstorm, a potential winter storm nor'easter is forecast to cause severe cold and more snowfall this weekend.
US weather forecasters predict that in the afternoon and night of January 30, a low pressure system may bring snow to some areas of Tennessee and Kentucky.
On January 31, snow is expected to fall from Georgia to Maryland. The amount of snowfall is not clear, but officials warn people to prepare for the possibility of heavy snowfall along the coast from Atlanta to Baltimore.
It is expected that this additional winter storm will greatly affect traffic at Charlotte Douglas International Airport in North Carolina on January 31.
Strong winds, likely to cause damage, may also occur in Alabama, Georgia and Florida.

According to the weather forecast bulletin on January 28th of the Weather Forecast Center of the US National Weather Service, a winter storm is likely to occur this weekend in some areas, including North and South Carolina and Virginia.
The weekend storm could strengthen into a "storm bomb" with the potential to cause heavy snowfall, strong winds and coastal flooding from Carolina to New England, according to Weather Channel.
Before the winter storm expected to be added at the weekend, another winter storm is sweeping the US, causing a severe cold spell that killed at least 60 people.
On January 27, Tennessee authorities confirmed 8 deaths related to weather across the state. Nationwide, dozens of deaths related to weather have been reported, from Texas and Tennessee to New England. Many places are affected by heavy snowfall, frost and dangerous cold temperatures.
The death toll in Louisiana also increased to 8 people, according to confirmation from the state health agency. The cause of death of 5 of these people was determined to be hypothermia.
On January 28, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear said that there were 10 deaths in the state, all confirmed to be due to the harsh conditions caused by the winter storm.
At least 7 people were confirmed dead in Mississippi amid a major winter storm. In New York, 10 people died outdoors in freezing temperatures. Mayor Zohran Mamdani confirmed that exposure to the cold was the cause of 7 out of 10 deaths in New York.
