The storm forecast bulletin of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said that at 10:00 a.m. on November 5, the center of typhoon Marce (local name of the Philippines) was at about 16.4 degrees north latitude; 127.1 degrees east longitude, 590km east of Baler, Aurora.

Many areas in the Philippines are under Tropical Storm Wind Signal No. 1: Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Ilocos Norte, Apayao, Abra... These areas are expected to have strong winds of 39-61 km/h for at least 36 hours or intermittent rain for 36 hours.

Typhoon Marce is expected to move mainly west-northwest today until tomorrow morning (November 6) before slowing down and turning westward across the Philippine Sea east of Northernmost Luzon.
According to the forecast track, Typhoon Marce could make landfall in the vicinity of Babuyan Islands or through the northern part of mainland Cagayan on Thursday evening (7.11) or early Friday morning (8.11).
Due to uncertainty over the strength of the high pressure area north of Typhoon Marce, the forecast track could still change and bring the landfall point to the Cagayan- Isabela mainland area.
Typhoon Marce may exit the Philippine Forecast Area (PAR) on Friday evening (8 November) or early Saturday morning (9 November), entering the South China Sea and becoming the seventh storm in the South China Sea this year.
Typhoon Marce is expected to continue to strengthen and may reach its peak intensity before making landfall in the Babuyan Islands or Cagayan, bringing strong winds, heavy rains and rough seas in Northern Luzon.
