According to the latest storm and low pressure forecast of the Philippine weather agency PAGASA on September 27, during the week from September 27 to October 3, tropical storm Julian and a new low pressure near the Philippines are forecast to appear.
The Typhoon and Depression Bulletin states that during the forecast period, Tropical Storm Julian is within the Philippine Forecast Area (PAR). The latest storm near the Philippines is east of Northern Luzon and is expected to gradually move north.
Philippine typhoon forecasters pointed out that forecast models show that immediately after Tropical Storm Julian, a tropical depression will form northeast of the boundary of PAGASA's TCAD monitoring area.

A new low pressure system near the Philippines is expected to strengthen into a low to moderate storm.
Thus, next week, the Philippines is expected to face the possibility of a storm.
PAGASA’s Storm and Low Pressure Bulletin on September 27 also released a forecast for the week of October 4 to October 10. The forecast shows that there is little chance of any low pressure areas, tropical depressions or storms appearing during the forecast period.
According to the latest weather forecast from PAGASA, at 5:00 a.m. on September 28, the center of tropical depression Julian was 400km east of Aparri, Cagayan, Philippines.
The latest tropical depression near the Philippines is packing maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near its center and gusts of up to 70 km/h. Tropical Depression Julian is moving at 10 km/h.

Julian is forecast to make a circuitous path through the waters east of Batanes and Cagayan, Philippines over the next five days.
Over the next 12 hours, the tropical system is forecast to move southwest before turning west this afternoon (September 28) and slowing down. Julian will then move northwest from September 29 to October 1 and turn north to northeast for the remainder of the forecast period.
Based on the latest forecast track, Tropical Depression Julian may make landfall in Batanes, Philippines in the afternoon or evening of September 30 at tropical storm strength and leave the Philippine forecast area between the evening of October 2 and the morning of October 3.
Philippine typhoon forecasters have highlighted the possibility of Julian continuing to strengthen throughout the forecast period and are expected to become a tropical storm on September 28. The latest storm near the Philippines could reach typhoon strength on October 30.
With the storm's ability to rapidly intensify, experts do not rule out the possibility of Hurricane Julian reaching super typhoon status.
