AFP quoted fire officials as saying that 12 people were injured, including 1 person in critical condition after suffering a third-degree burning.
In addition, the 9 injured were South Korean citizens whose nationality has not been disclosed.
According to Yonhap's latest update, 12 crew members (including 9 Koreans, 3 foreigners) and 6 rescue workers were injured, most of them burned and smoldered. Among them, 1 person was seriously injured.
The 25,881-ton ship to transport petroleum products from the Cayman Islands caught fire after an explosion at around 10:51 a.m. on September 28 while docked at Yeompo Quay in Ulsan, 400 km southeast of Seoul.
According to authorities, a total of 25 people on board, all of whom were foreign citizens, have been rescued.
The fire quickly spread to another cargo ship parked nearby. The ship had 21 crew members on board and were also rescued.
The cause of the explosion that led to the fire is currently being investigated.
