The announcement of Queen Sirikit, wife of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej - the longest reigning monk of Thailand - has passed away was announced by the Thai Royal Court.
"The beauty queen's condition has deteriorated a lot until October 24. She passed away at 9:21 p.m. at Chulalongkorn Hospital, at the age of 93," the statement said.
The Thai royal added that Queen Sirikit has been treated for many diseases, including sepsis, since being hospitalized in 2019.
King Vajiralongkorn has given the royal family a year of mourning.
On the morning of October 25, the host of the Thai news program appeared in black on the morning show.
