Israel attacks Gaza Strip school, 22 people killed

Twenty-two people were killed and many others injured after an Israeli airstrike on a school in the Gaza Strip.

According to AP, a school in the Zeitoun district of Gaza City was heavily damaged after being attacked by the Israeli army on September 22.

The Gaza Ministry of Health said the airstrike killed 22 people and injured 30 others. The victims were mostly civilians, mostly women and children. It is not yet clear which hospital they were taken to for treatment.

Video footage of the scene shows the school was heavily damaged, with people digging through the rubble to find their loved ones. The victims’ bodies were covered and placed outside.

According to Ferial Deloul residents, the Israeli army launched a series of rockets at the school area, causing everything to collapse and smoke to fill the air. The situation was chaotic and only people could be seen crying and screaming.

The day before, another Israeli airstrike on a factory in Musbah killed five workers and injured five others.

The Israeli military said it discovered several Hamas military bases and command centers in the residential areas it attacked.

The areas attacked are all areas where Hamas is present. The Israeli military said that Hamas must be destroyed at all costs, regardless of the impact on civilians.

Israel has taken many measures to minimize casualties in air strikes, such as using precision-guided munitions and conducting aerial reconnaissance before attacks.

Since the war in the Gaza Strip broke out last October, Israel has carried out numerous attacks on Palestinian shelters, especially schools, forcing them to relocate continuously.
