Russia claims to intercept 320 Ukrainian UAVs overnight

Russian air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 320 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over many areas of Russia.

According to TASS, the Russian Ministry of Defense said that the country's air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 320 Ukrainian fixed-wing UAVs overnight.

The UAVs were intercepted between 8:00 p.m. on August 3 and 8:00 a.m. on August 4 (Moscow time) in the provinces of Belgorod, Bryansk, Volgograd, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Leningrad, Lipetsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Novgorod, Oryol, Pskov, Rostov, Ryazan, Smolensk, Tver, Tula, Moscow and the Crimea peninsula.

Moscow regional governor Andrey Vorobyov informed that 5 people were killed and 10 injured in the UAV attack in this area.

The Chekhov district is the area most attacked. The UAV attack caused several fires in the Novoselki industrial park, of which the largest fire occurred at a warehouse and was almost completely extinguished. A power substation and an administrative building were also damaged.

In the Leningrad region, Governor Aleksandr Drozdenko said a warehouse near Krasny Bor was hit by a UAV, injuring one person.

According to a statement from the Wildberries press department, a fire broke out at the company's logistics facility in Krasny Bor after a UAV attack. Staff at the facility were evacuated to ensure safety.

Governor Drozdenko said that an emergency response command was established after the attack on warehouses in this area. Functional forces are currently deploying firefighting operations.

Interim governor of the Tver region Vitaly Korolyov said that UAV debris fell on a Wildberries warehouse in the Emmaus settlement, causing damage to part of the building wall. No employees were injured in the incident.
