According to the Houthi-controlled Department of Health, US airstrikes on March 15 killed at least 23 people and injured more than 20.
In a post on the social network Truth Social, Mr. Trump affirmed that the US will deploy "overwhelming fire" against the Houthis "until the target is achieved".
He accused the group of conducting ringing, violent and terrorist operations against ships, aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles of the United States and other countries.
President Trump said US forces are conducting airstrikes on Houthi bases, leadership and missile defense systems to protect the interests of the US maritime, aviation and military while restoring freedom of navigation.
"No terrorist force can stop US commercial ships and warships from moving freely on global sea routes," Trump stressed.
In addition to launching a large-scale airstrike campaign, Trump also issued a strong warning to Iran - an important ally of the Houthis, demanding that Tehran "immediately" end its support.
"If Iran threatens the American people or the American president, we will hold them fully accountable - and this time, we will not make any transfers," Trump said.
According to CNN, the Houthis quickly criticized the US attacks. The group's health spokesman, Anees Alasbahi, called it an "act of aggression" and affirmed that this only made Yemen more determined in supporting Gaza and "resisting".

According to Houthi-controlled media, airstrikes in the capital Sanaa have killed at least 13 people and injured nine others.
In Saada province, 10 people were killed and 13 were injured, mostly women and children. An attack on a power station in Dahyan city left the entire area without power.
US defense officials stressed that this was not a single attack, but the beginning of a campaign that lasted for days or weeks. A source told CNN that the US will continue to conduct strategic airstrikes to undermine the Houthis' military capabilities.
Previously, the Biden administration conducted a number of selective airstrikes targeting the Houthi underground weapons depot in October and November last year, but could not stop further attacks by the group.
The Houthis have said they will stop attacking ships in the Red Sea if a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas is maintained. However, the US escalating military action could complicate the situation.
If the Houthi attacks dont stop today, people will suffer a completely unprecedented Hell, Trump warned.
The US-Houthi confrontation is expected to be more tense in the coming weeks, with the risk of dragging the entire Middle East into a new round of conflict.
