The US Diplomatic Corps in Vietnam and rapper Suboi have released the MV "Never Before" - a new composition marking the 30th anniversary of US-Vietnam relations.

As part of a series of commemorative activities that have lasted for 1 year, the music video (MV) brings a new perspective, focusing on young people, about a diplomatic milestone that has shaped the progress of both countries.

Never Before recreates important milestones in US-Vietnam relations, while emphasizing that the younger generation is the most vivid proof of todays partnership.

Through Suboi's unique rap voice and contemporary image style, the MV conveys a message to young people, honoring their imagination, aspirations and a global vision, while shaping the celebration as a continuous journey with the creativity and ambition of young people themselves.

By outlining the journey of the past three decades, the MV shows the progress that the two countries have achieved and a common promise for the future, both as a gratitude for the persistent cooperation and an invitation to continue building the next journey through innovation, connection and cultural exchange.

US Ambassador Marc E. Knapper shared: On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of US-Vietnam relations, we are proud to connect with young people through creativity. Suboi's contribution helps the story of our partnership to be conveyed in a contemporary form, affirming the important role of young people in shaping our common future.

The artistic orientation of Never Before combines modern rap with the breakthroughs of traditional Vietnamese musical instruments, creating a style that is both contemporary and imbued with identity. This approach brings warmth to a theme that is often expressed solemnly, allowing the energy of hip-hop to blend with the elegance and pride of Vietnamese culture.

The MV "Never Before" conveys the spirit, energy and aspirations of today's young generation of Vietnam. I hope the MV will inspire them not only to celebrate the journey the two countries have gone together but also to look forward to the future with confidence and see the possibilities that cooperation can bring".

As the US and Vietnam celebrate 30 years of diplomatic relations, the US Diplomatic Corps in Vietnam continues to commit to strengthening strategic cooperation, promoting mutual interests and contributing to peace, stability and prosperity in the region as well as to the people of the two countries.
